OT commit Kyle Sassack has the Gopher coaches believing he could play early at Minnesota, and he spoke about his official visit to GopherIllustrated.

"We did a lot while on my official visit to Minnesota," Michigan offensive lineman Kyle Sassack said to GopherIllustrated. "We saw Vikings stadium, went to Mall of America, saw the facilities and campus, and a lot more. My host was Sam Schlueter, and he was a great guy and we had a good time together. His message to me was to stay dedicated to the program, and it keep working hard once I get here."

"I talked with every Gopher coach a lot while I was there, but I talked with offensive line coach Ed Warinner the most," Sassack explained to GI. "I got to know him pretty well. He told me a lot about himself and his great coaching career. He thinks I will be able to play a good amount early on, and sees me as a big contributor to the program. Coach Fleck and my family talked awhile about the transfer from WMU to Minnesota. He told me he's really excited that I followed him there and thinks I'll be a great addition to the program, plus a great player. My family loved their first visit to Minnesota too."

Sassack has a message for Gopher fans.

"I'm now very comfortable with Minnesota after seeing things this weekend. Coach Fleck also told me he would be here sometime this week, and I want Gopher fans to know that I can't wait to be a part of the community and win games at Minnesota!"
