"The Minnesota visit went great," Florida defensive tackle Kelvin Kegler said to GopherIllustrated. "We got to go to the Mall of America and played in the virtual reality arcade, and then we went to the Minnesota-Wisconsin game on Saturday and it was lit at that basketball game. The fans were crazy and I loved the atmosphere at the game. I also got to hang out with my host a lot and then we had academic meetings on Sunday at breakfast, so I got to see a lot of Minnesota and experience what it'd be like to be a Gopher."
"I spent a lot of time with coach Paup and Fleck while I was up there," Kegler explained to GI. "Coach Paup and I really got to know each other this weekend as he was telling me about his family and I was telling him about mine as I was alone while on the visit. Coach Paup said he views me as an explosive three technique on his defensive line and he really wants me to join him up there. Coach Fleck was just telling me that he doesn't want to pressure me into a commitment or anything, but just that he wants me at Minnesota. He wants me to make the best decision for me."
Kegler has a decision to make here in the coming days.
"The plan is for me to make a decision next weekend," Kegler told GI. "I have USF coming in tomorrow, Tulane and Western Kentucky are also coming by this week and I have to decide which school I'll be taking an official visit to this weekend, and I'm pretty sure Minnesota's coming by Tuesday or Wednesday. I want a decision after my next visit so I can compare everything evenly."
