WR commit Chris Bell takes his first visit to the University of Minnesota

WR commit Chris Bell took his first visit to the University of Minnesota over the weekend, and he can't wait to sign with the Golden Gophers.

"I had a chance to visit TCF Bank Stadium, their football and academic facilities, the locker room's, practice fields, all over campus and their housing. I saw it all and I loved it," Illinois wide receiver Chris Bell said to GopherIllustrated. "My host for the visit was Rodney Smith and he's a great, genuine man. He doesn't say much, but Rodney is like an older brother to me already. He looked out for me this entire weekend and showed me around. He took me in, and others too. I can't wait to play along side one of the best running backs in the Big Ten. His message to me was to come in to work and play hard at practice every day. Everything is real new to them with coach Fleck, but he just said to come in ready to work and get the job done."

"I talked a lot with all the offensive coaches, and my position coach, Matt Simon and he said to be ready to be actually coached," Bell explained to GI. "He said to have a mamba mentality and to be ready to learn a lot from the wide receiver position. The OC said to be ready to work and catch some balls for the Gophers. My mother, step mom, dad and step dad all came with, and they loved and enjoyed every minute the visit."

Bell has a message for Gopher fans.

"I can't to get started at Minnesota. Me and my boys are Gophers now. My job is done now, it's time for us to put in work on the field and win a championship."
