GopherIllustrated.com: What is your current height and weight? What weight would the Gopher staff like you to report at this summer?
Quinn Coughlin: I'm 6'3" 250 lbs, and I just know that want me to get bigger.
GopherIllustrated.com: What are your individual and team goals you hope to accomplish during your college career?
QC: Bottom line is whatever I can do to make the team better - Carter and I have always dreamed of playing for the Gophers and winning the Rose Bowl.
GopherIllustrated.com: What are you looking to work on the most this spring to prepare yourself for Big Ten football?
QC: The truth is I know I have to get bigger and stronger but in addition to that I am working hard to increase my agility and speed.
GopherIllustrated.com: What future moment are you looking forward to the most as a Gopher?
QC: The future moment I'm looking forward to most is wearing Maroon and Gold and playing Gopher football with my brother.
GopherIllustrated.com: What was the main reason you chose to attend the University of Minnesota?
QC: It's always been my dream for as long as I can remember to be a Gopher. Growing up we went to almost every football game and now I have a chance to be one of the guys wearing the Maroon and Gold.
GopherIllustrated.com: What team do you want to beat the most as a Gopher and why?
QC: Growing up I always hated the Badgers and Hawkeyes and I can't wait to take back the Axe and the Pig.
GopherIllustrated.com: Is there any unfinished academic business or are you all set to enroll at Minnesota?
QC: I'm all set to go and I can't wait to get started!
GopherIllustrated.com: If you don't make it to the NFL, where do you see yourself in 10 years?
QC: plan on majoring in communications with a minor in business finance. I hope to be in sales for a company here in the Twin Cities.
GopherIllustrated.com: What is it about Coach Fleck and the coaching staff that makes you want to play for them?
QC: Coach Fleck and his staff show great leadership and energy -- makes me want to play for a guy like that. He is committed to making his players the best they can be both on the field and in life.
GopherIllustrated.com: What position do you expect to play at Minnesota? What other position did the Gopher staff mention as a possibility?
QC: I'll be playing defensive tackle or nose guard at Minnesota.
GopherIllustrated.com: What player do you model your game after and why?
QC: I love the way Big Steve (Steven Richardson) plays the game. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and he is an explosive player.
