"We did a lot yesterday when we were at Minnesota," Illinois offensive lineman Wyatt Blake said to GopherIllustrated. "It started with a tour of campus with coach P.J. Fleck, my family and coach Callahan. After that, I met with coach Warinner for awhile, we got some food with Callahan, and then went to the stadium. After that, we tried on jerseys, took some pictures and then walked around the stadium. We played some bags at the stadium with the coaches, and then I met with coach Fleck one on one before the basketball game, so we had a lot to do in a short amount of time at Minnesota. I thought their campus was very clean and beautiful. It's right next to the city too, which I enjoyed. The new facilities Minnesota are building right now, are going to be unreal. Their game day locker room was huge too."
"Coach Warinner's message to me was just how he really wants me, and how he's put people into the NFL," Blake explained to GI. "I spent basically the whole day with coach Callahan, and he's probably one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He was really glad to have me come up to campus and see everything that Minnesota has to offer. Then coach Fleck and I spoke before the basketball game and he was just wondering about my interest level in them now and things like that. I thought the atmosphere at the basketball game was real rowdy, and it was very fun to be in, so I enjoyed the visit."
Minnesota's positioned themselves well heading into more visits for Blake this spring.
"Minnesota's at the top of my list now," Blake told GI. "They're not necessarily my leader, but I was just really impressed by the staff and the school there. I'll be heading to Northwestern on March 3rd, and then I'll be heading to Notre Dame and Virginia here soon as well. I'll be making my decision on May 15th as it's my mom's birthday, and I feel that I'll be ready by then."
