2019 Iowa quarterback Max Duggan receives a Minnesota offer

2019 Iowa quarterback Max Duggan receives a Minnesota offer following his visit on Saturday, and he gives the details to GopherIllustrated.

"We got to watch spring practice and tour the facilities," 2019 Iowa quarterback Max Duggan said to GopherIllustrated. "We also met with the coaches, talked with academics, strength and conditioning staff, and heard a presentation from coach Fleck. The practice was fact paced and really high energy. There was a lot of enthusiasm by the coaches and players."

"I talked a lot with coach Ciarrocca, Paup and Fleck while on my visit," Duggan explained. "Coach Ciarrocca talked about the culture of the program, the offensive philosophy, what he looks for in a quarterback and their responsibilities and his coaching staff. Coach Fleck was very positive and enthusiastic. He also talked about expectations for his quarterback and his goals for the program. They wanted to offer because they love my skill set and my intangibles fit their quarterback recruiting philosophy. Coach Fleck wants me to come back up and have some one on one time and build that relationship more."

Minnesota made an impactful first impression on the Iowa signal caller.

"I really enjoyed my visit and felt comfortable and welcomed around the coaching staff," Duggan said. "I'm interested in going back up and learning more about the program. I'll also be visiting Iowa and Iowa State for spring practices, and then I'll be visit North Carolina and Nebraska as well, but I don't have any dates set."
