Minnesota makes a good first impression with Indiana defensive end Madison Norris

Minnesota makes a good first impression with Indiana defensive end Madison Norris following his visit today, and recaps the visit with GI.

"It was a great visit to Minnesota," Indiana defensive end Madison Norris said to GopherIllustrated. "I had a fun time meeting everyone and seeing all of the Gophers campus. It was a beautiful campus and it was a very live place. I loved the atmosphere. The facilities are great, and I'm excited to see what the new ones are going to look like when they're finished. Their spring practice was hyped too, but we didn't get to see any of the 11 on 11, so that was the only downside. We left practice to go see the dorms and talk to the player development advisor. Their dorms were really nice, but the best thing is having a room to yourself."

"Their locker room at TCF Bank Stadium is the biggest I've ever seen. It was tremendous," Norris explained to Scout.com. "The inside of their stadium was immaculate too. I got to talk a lot with coach Wenger and Fleck while on the visit, and Wenger's message was to keep bringing it because they love me game. Coach Fleck said pretty much the same thing, and he also said they'd love to have me and to keep doing what I do. They want me as a rush defensive end and I feel like I'd fit into that. My parents both liked it at Minnesota as I think they enjoyed every moment. I'd say my favorite part of today was seeing the locker room and trying on the jerseys as that locker room was ginormous and one of the best I've seen."

Minnesota has raised their stock with Norris following the visit.

"My thoughts have changed on Minnesota for the better as I was finally able to get down to the college, and I think it's a great school," Norris said. "I'm not going to be making a decision soon, as I want to make one sometime after the football season because I want to make a good conscious decision. I'll be visiting Louisville on April 8th, and of course I'm thinking about visiting Minnesota again before I decide."
