"I thought I was a little nervous to begin as I think most people were to come out," Marshall (Minn.) quarterback Trey Lance said to Scout.com. "I've never been to the Opening or a camp like this before as I didn't come last year, but I was really excited to come this year and I thought I did well. I thought I competed well with the other quarterbacks. I did go to some college campus last summer that were similar to this, but in that same respect this atmosphere is a bit different. A lot more quarterbacks are here than at the Minnesota camp or the Nebraska camp, so but those two really helped me with everything I did today."
"I've been to NDSU, NIU and SDSU lately, and I'll be heading to Iowa, Iowa State and Minnesota coming up this week," Lance explained. "I'll be at Iowa on Wednesday and Iowa State on Thursday, and then Minnesota this weekend on Saturday. My NDSU visit was awesome. I really like NDSU. I liked all the coaches at NDSU, but I'm excited to get out and visit more schools so I can see what each has to offer. With Minnesota, I don't have an offer from them right now so I have to keep working, but they want to see me at other positions besides quarterback at their camp this summer such as safety or wide receiver. I've always felt that I'm a quarterback, but I'm open to anyone that's interested in me. I don't have any camps planned yet for this summer, but I'll be doing that soon. I also don't really have anyone standing out to me, but we'll see how my recruitment progresses."
