Two of the top sophomores in Minnesota square off

Two of the top sophomores in the state will face off as Duluth East will travel to St. Thomas Academy. Duluth East, who had McDonald's All-American Rick Rickert several years ago, has 6-6 Cory Johnson, while St. Thomas features 6-9 Bryce Webster.

Cory Johnson had 29 points and 11 rebounds in the Greyhounds' season opener versus Bemidji. He had 16 points in their most recent contest against Eagan. Webster finished with 27 points and 18 caroms against de La Salle as he was 13 of 16 from the field.

Johnson has already received offers from Marquette and Iowa with interest from Florida State, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Webster has offers from Marquette. Wisconsin and Minnesota. He plans to attend the Wisconsin-Marquette game at Madison this Saturday and will travel to Milwaukee Feb. 21 for the Golden Eagles' contest versus Tulane. Marquette head coach Tom Crean and Wisconsin head man Bo Ryan are among the six college coaches that are expected to be in attendance.
