2005 Prospect search: Ryan Ruckdashel of Eastview

The Minnesota Gophers have started work on next year's recruiting class. We will begin looking at some of the top prospects in the state. Minnesota landed six in-state prospects in their 24-man recruiting class that they signed earlier in the month. Ryan Ruckdashel of Apple Valley (MN) Eastview visited Minnesota recently and attended the Gophers basketball game versus Michigan.

Ryan Ruckdashel, a 6-6, 255 pound offensive tackle, was named honorable mention All-Lake Conferenece in his first year as a starter after lettering as a sophomore. He has attended the Gopher camp the past two seasons.

Ruckdashel also wrestles as a heavyweight and has a 20-12 record this season. He also throws the shotput and discus.

Ruckdashel is an excellent student with a 3.89 GPA. He was nominated by Eastview High School for the ExCEL (Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership) Award. He was named as one of the 25 students statewide to be recognized.

Ruckdashel is also hearing from Northwestern, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Eastview finished 6-4, losing to Rochester Mayo in the Section I, Class AAAAA semifinals.
