"The visit there was amazing. The facilities are unbelievable."
Flury said that any concerns that he had about the five year military obligations was quashed.
"It was resolved with the visit. It was not what I expected. It's much like any college."
The Flury family had a visit from an Air Force coach on Monday.
"It was a nice visit. He came over for dinner and went over some of the paperwork."
Flury said that the coaches said that they will use him as a punt and kick returner and slot receiver.
Their wide receiver coach said that they could use me and that I could play soon."
The Air Force got a recommendation from someone from Minnesota.
"They got film of me and liked me."
Flury visited Minnesota Wednesday and said that the visit went fine. However, getting a scholarship offer rather than walking-on swayed his decision.
"They told me to go out and prove myself, but I felt that I could do that at Air Force."
Flury caught two touchdown passes in the Prep Bowl to lead the Panthers in a 34-9 win over Hastings. He finished the season with 78 receptions for 1,198 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns this season. Flury had 13 carries for 144 yards, two rushing touchdowns and one punt return for a score. He also led the state in receptions as a junior with 60 grabs.
The Panthers cruised through the regular season. They outscored their opposition 545-178 in their 14 games.
Flury scored a 22 on his ACT and has a 3.4 GPA. He plans to major in business or business finance.
