Roderick Trice plans Minnesota visit this weekend

Roderick Trice, a 6-4 sophomore from Georgia Perimeter (GA) CC, will visit Minnesota this weekend, his second visit to a Big Ten school in the past two weeks.

Roderick Trice led the Jaguars to their second straight appearance in the NJCAA Tournament and a 29-5 record this season. Trice was named Region 17 Player of the Year and made the NJCAA All-Tournament team in 2003. He averaged 20.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season. Trice visited Ohio State last week and will go to Baylor next weekend. His coach, Alfred Barney, told me that St. John's had called him earlier today to get involved with his recruitment.

Minnesota has five players signed to letters-of-intent, but there is speculation that one player might not qualify for next fall.

Miles Webb is still working on his core with the hopes of becoming eligible as a freshman.
