Ray Brown is a top Minnesota senior-to-be

Ray Brown, a 6-6 senior guard from Richfield (MN) High is considered one of the top players in Minnesota. Brown led the Spartans to a 21-5 mark last season and a No. 1 regular season ranking. He helped lead the N.C. Heat to the semifinals of Minnesota Team Camp play Wednesday. College Basketball News got a chance to catch up with the talented senior-to-be and found out the latest on his recruitment.

Ray Brown received a scholarship offer from Dayton Tuesday and recently got an offer from Big Ten schools Minnesota and Purdue. He previously received offers from Northern Iowa, Bradley, Indiana State and Iowa State.

Brown will play in the Mid America Basketball Academy July 8-10 and will play in the Mullen's High Profile Team Tournament in Shawnee, Kansas July 14-17.

Brown saw his high school season end with a 47-46 upset loss to crosstown rival Holy Angels in the Section 3AAA semifinals. Richfeld is expected to be one of the top teams in the state. The Spartans also return Travis Brown (no relation). Travis Brown is one of the top ten players in the state in the Class of 2005.
