Cretin TE Marcus Tibesar gets D-I attention

Marcus Tibesar, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound tight end from St. Paul (MN) Cretin Derham Hall, is often overshadowed by several of his highly recruited teammates. What schools are you hearing from right now?


"A lot of schools out East, like the Ivy Leagues. Minnesota, Indiana and Wyoming."


What camps did you attend this summer?


"I just went to the "U" camp with a bunch of my teammates."


Have you planned any visits yet or have you seen any campuses yet?


"I've seen a couple of them, but I'm going to wait for official visits until after the season."


Do you know what schools you want to visit yet?


"Maybe, North Dakota State, North Dakota and some schools out East."


What position are most of the schools looking at you to play in college?


"Mostly tight end."


Your team is so dominant and often is able to blow out opponents. Does that make it tough, because I'm sure you want to show off your abilities?


"Well, it's about the team first."


Have you thought about what you would like to major in?


"I don't know. Maybe business. I'd like to maybe be a fireman."


Have you taken the ACT or SAT yet?


"Yes, I got a 29."
