"It was amazing," said Walker Ashley of his visit. "I was picked up from the airport and checked into the Marriot downtown. It was a really nice room. I went to eat and then went into some team meetings. Then me, Dominique Byrd, Lendale White, and Reggie Smith went out together. We just went to a couple of parties but we came back in early because they had a big game the next day.

"I got up and ate breakfast with the team and coaches the next morning. They had some pre-game meetings then we went to the game. It was awesome. I got to see Britney Spears. For some reason she was at the game so that was cool. After the game I went with Reggie and C.J. Byrd to go eat with the coaches and players. We went and had a barbeque down by the beach. That night, I went out with the guys to a couple more parties. The next morning we had breakfast by the beach before I left. Coming from Minnesota, I never get to do stuff like that."

Ashley had recently said that Ohio State was his leader. Where do the Trojans stand with him after the visit? "They are number one, no doubt. I am probably going to be a Trojan and it is probably going to happen pretty soon. I need to talk with my parents about it and they are away on business until Tuesday."

The big d-tackle had more promising statements for USC fans. "I already told the coaches that I am going to go back there for Spring Break so I can learn the defense. Then I will also spend the whole summer out there to get a head start. That is, if I decide to commit there. The coaches told me that they are losing two defensive tackles in the draft and that they see me as a future first-rounder."

Ashley has helped lead Eden Prairie to an 8-0 mark. He has contributed 14 sacks and around 70 tackles. His squad plays their first game of the playoffs this Friday versus Prior Lake. will catch up with the star defender in the near future to see if he indeed pulls the trigger.
