Quinn Hendel Reschedules Big Ten Visit

Quinn Hendel, a 6-3, 215-pound running back from Plymouth (MN) Wayzata High, has rescheduled his visit to Illinois. He will visit Illinois December 10th rather than the 3rd. Hendel rushed 18 times for 110 yards as the Trojans lost Classic Lake Conference rival Minnetonka in the Class AAAAA championship game at the Metrodome Friday. He scored on 50- and 6-yard runs.

Quinn Hendel also ran track for Wayzata and had a season-best 11.2 in the 100 meters and 23.25 in the 200. He also ran the 4 X 200 meter relay. Hendel is considered one of the top prospects in the state.

Hendel was named second-team Associated Press and second team Star Tribune All-Metro Team. He finished the season with 264 carries for 1,689 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Hendel is also considering Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa along with North Dakota State, South Dakota State, South Dakota and Northern Iowa. Hendel plays tailback for the Trojans, but is projected to move to fullback or outside linebacker. He attended several Minnesota games as well as the Wisconsin-Penn State contest.
