Bryan Williams has Another Change of Heart

Akron (Ohio.) Buchtel cornerback/running back Bryan Williams (6-0, 187, 4.3) originally committed to Pittsburgh, exit Walt Harris, then Williams decided to commit to Minnesota. Now after an in-home visit by Panthers assistant Bob Junko, Williams is a Pittsburgh Panther again.

"I'm 17 years old, not every decision is easy when you're still a kid," Bryan Williams said. "I thought when Harris left, all the coaches would be gone, but they kept the defensive guys."

Coach Junko visited Williams this week, and the Ohio standout explained the situation to the Panthers assistant coach.

"I thought they (coaches) were gone, so I took Minnesota up on their offer," Williams said. "Now I know the score, I want to be a part of that."

"Both schools are really nice, I can get a good education at either school," Williams said. "Pittsburgh is a lot closer, and that's important to me and my parents." Williams was hoping to stay low-key until signing day.

"I just don't want a bunch of people calling me, and questioning what I do. I kind of just wanted to wait until signing day and sign with Pittsburgh."
