The barn was rocking as the Gopher men's basketball team beat a tough Hoosiers team, 70-65. The Gophers broke open the game early in second half by taking a 15-point lead with an 18-2 run, but they couldn't quite put it away.
The Hoosiers fought back into the game but the Gophers were able to hold on to a much-needed Big Ten victory.
Indiana is a much better team than their 9-8 record would indicate. They have played a brutal non-conference schedule loaded with top 25 teams.
This victory was by no means a gimme for the Gophers and gives Minnesota momentum heading into Saturday's matchup with No. 1 Illinois and the heart of the Big Ten schedule.
