Minnesota defeated Minnesota State 5-3 Saturday to sweep the first round of the WCHA playoffs and earn a trip to the WCHA Final Five at the Xcel Energy Center.
The rest of the Final Five and seedings are as follows. No. 1 seed Denver Pioneers (26-9-2); No. 2 seed Colorado College Tigers (28-7-3); No. 3 seed Minnesota Golden Gophers (26-12-1); No. 4 seed Wisconsin (23-12-4); No. 5 seed North Dakota Fighting Sioux (20-13-5).
The fourth and fifth seeds will play with the winner facing No. 1 seed Denver.
The Gophers will play Colorado College and, if victorious, would face the winner of the Denver vs. Wisconsin/North Dakota winner. The Minnesota vs. Colorado College game is at 7:37 p.m. CST Fridayand broadcast on Fox Sports North.
