MN TE Jordan McMichael Receives Fourth Offer

Jordan McMichael, a 6-5, 230-pound tight end/defensive end from Minneapolis (Minn.) Breck, is one of the top juniors in the state. He comes from an offensive-minded program that has produced Brandon Robinson, who is with Boston College, USC tight ends Dominique Byrd and Nick Vanderboom and Harvard quarterback Liam O'Hagen in the past few years. McMichael, an outstanding two-sport athlete, attended the Gopher junior day recently and has received interest from several high Division I programs.

Jordan McMichael recently received an offer from Northwestern to go along with previous scholarship invites from Nebraska, Kansas and Wisconsin. He is also hearing from UCLA, Miami and home-state Minnesota.

McMichael had 30 receptions for 414 yards and six touchdowns last season as the Mustangs finished 8-3, losing to Braham in the Class AA Section 4 Finals. As a defensive end, he had 85 tackles, 13 sacks and scored a touchdown.

McMichael is also a standout on the hardwood as he has gotten Division I interest in that sport. He averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game as the Mustangs finished 20-8 last season.

McMichael plans to camp at Minnesota, Northwestern, Nebraska and Iowa this summer. Academically, McMichael has a 2.9 GPA and scored a 23 on the ACT.
