DT Aundre Henderson Commits to Minnesota

Aundre Henderson, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive tackle prospect from DuPont Manual (KY) High has committed to Minnesota. Henderson had considered waiting until the midway point of his senior season to make a college decision, but the Scout.com 3-star prospect decided to pull the trigger early.

Aundre Henderson made the decision to head to Minnesota today.

"I just committed to Minnesota," he told Scout.com. "I feel real comfortable with Coach Bailey. He was real excited when I told him."

Henderson, who had received written scholarship offers from Boston College, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Michigan State, Minnesota and Tennessee, said it came down to a two-school race.

"It really came down to just Louisville and Minnesota," he explained. "I just felt like I fit in better at Minnesota."

Henderson will make an official visit with the Gophers the weekend of Sept. 3.
