Terrence Sherrer to Commit to Minnesota

Terrence Sherrer, a 5-10, 190-pound running back from Cincinnati (OH) Colerain, visited Minnesota and attended the Minnesota-Florida Atlantic game this past weekend as part of his official visit. GoldenSports.net caught up with Sherrer and he announced that he will commit to the Gophers Monday morning.

Terrence Sherrer seemed like he was going to be the next Gopher commitment when I spoke to him during the Minnesota-Florida Atlantic game and nothing has changed since his return home.

"It was a great trip. I'll make it official tomorrow. I'll call them first thing in the morning," he said.

Sherrer enjoyed his entire trip and said that there was not one thing that made him decide on commiting to Minnesota.

"It was a lot of things. From an educational point, they had everything I need. The experience of a Big Ten football team. The atmosphere, it was crazy. It felt like it was a second home."

Sherrer, who also had offers from Ball State and Akron, earned All-City honors as he carried 88 times for 935 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior for the defending Ohio Division I champions.
