Matt Schiedermeyer Gets Midwest Interest

Matt Schiedermeyer, a 6-foot-4, 337-pound offensive and defensive lineman from Waupaca (WI) High, is one of the biggest and best offensive lineman in the Midwest. Schiedermeyer attended the Minnesota-Purdue game last Saturday and GoldenSports.net recently caught up with him to learn the latest on his recruitment.

Matt Schiedermeyer attended the Minnesota, Wisconsin and Winona State camps for one day each this summer.

Schiedermeyer helped lead the Comets to a 7-3 mark last season. They are currently 2-3 and 2-1 in conference play. Schiedermeyer helped lead the way as Waupaca rushed for 227 yards on 35 carries in their 49-3 win over Freedom Friday night.

Schiedermeyer ran a 5.39 40-yard dash this summer and bench pressed 185 pounds 24 times. He was measured with a 22 inch vertical.

Schiedermeyer is also an excellent student with a 3.87 GPA. He has yet to receive a Division I offer.
