Brewster G Dodie Dunson Gets Gopher Interest

Dodie Dunson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard from Wolfeboro (NH) Brewster Academy, is planning on visiting Minnesota April 14, according to Brewster head coach Jason Smith. Dunson averaged 17 points per game this season as Brewster finished 20-9 this season. Smith said that Dunson is planning on making several Midwest visits before he makes his college choice. Minnesota and Iowa State will make in-school visits Tuesday.

Dodie Dunson signed with Illinois State out of Bloomington (IL) High, but he decided to attend prep school power Wolfeboro (NH) Brewster Academy. Dunson had signed with the Red Birds and was expected to play alongside high school backcourt mate Brandon Holtz, but he opted for his release. He was a full qualifier who did not receive his release from Illinois State until he had started the fall term.

He will visit Tulsa April 21 and is still working on a date for his Iowa State visit, according to Smith.

"We have a short break coming up in about 10 days, so he may do that back to back with the Minnesota visit," Smith said. "He would like to get back towards the Midwest and has eliminated East Coast schools. He's focused on those three schools at this point -- Iowa State, Minnesota and Tulsa."
