Andrew Brommer Gets Gopher Offer

Andrew Brommer, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound rising junior from Rosemount (MN) High, has received a scholarship offer from Minnesota after meeting with the coaching staff this week. Brommer had previously received a scholarship offer from Northern Iowa.

Andrew Brommer averaged 13.2 points per game last year for the Irish, who finished just 4-22 last season. He scored in double figures in 22 of 26 games with a season high of 29 points versus Bloomington Kennedy.

Brommer played for the 43 Hoops AAU team that won the Hoosier Shootout 16-and-under division.

Brommer averaged 6.3 points per game as a freshman after missing the beginning of the year due to a broken left foot.

Brommer played on the Minnesota Magic Elite 15 and under team before switching to 43 Hoops.

He has good touch for a big man and has the ability to put the ball on the floor. He is a good passer and shotblocker who will likely become a better inside player as he continues to add strength. He needs to finish around the basket better, but that will likely come with more strength.

Rosemount returns four of their top five scorers.
