Andrew Brommer averaged 13.2 points per game last year for the Irish, who finished just 4-22. He scored in double figures in 22 of 26 games with a season high of 29 points versus Bloomington Kennedy.
Brommer received his first scholarship offer from Northern Iowa, but that list has grown this summer as he told GoldenSports.Net recently.
"I also received an offer from Illinois State, TCU and Albany."
Brommer said that he likes the Gophers.
"It is a good program. I like them."
Brommer visited Northern Iowa three weeks ago and they were the first program to extend him a scholarship offer.
Brommer played for the 43 Hoops AAU team that won the Hoosier Shootout 16-and-under division in July. They also played in the adidas Super 64 in Las Vegas and the best of the Summer in Las Vegas.
Broomer said that he will play in the Concordia Fall League with his Rosemount teammates. Rosemount returns four of their top five scorers and figures to be vastly improved this season.
Brommer has good touch for a big man and has the ability to put the ball on the floor. He is a good passer and shotblocker who will likely become a better inside player as he continues to add strength. He needs to finish around the basket better, but that will likely come with more strength.
Brommer averaged 6.3 points per game as a freshman after missing the beginning of the year due to a broken left foot.
Brommer played on the Minnesota Magic Elite 15 and under team before switching to 43 Hoops this past year.
