JC F Keith Ramsey Gets Minnesota Interest

Keith Ramsey, a 6-foot-7 forward from Okaloosa-Walton (FL) CC, is one of the top JC players in the country and has received recruiting interest from several top programs, including Minnesota. Ramsey averaged 11.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season for the Raiders. GoldenSports.Net recently caught up with Ramsey's head coach Bruce Stewart to learn the latest on his recruitment.

Keith Ramsey was named first-team All-Panhandle Conference this past season as the Raiders finished 23-5 overall and 8-4 in the Panhandle Coinference. Okaloosa-Walton head coach Bruce Stewart told GoldenSports.Net that he will return all five starters for a team that figures to be ranked among the top teams in the country.

Ramsey is hearing from Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi State and Minnesota, according to Stewart.

Missouri figures to be heavily involved in the recruitment of Ramsey. Mizzou head coach Mike Anderson has been recruiting Ramsey since he was in high school three years ago when he was at Alabama-Birmingham. Ramsey is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and played for the Murfreesboro Stars AAU team along with North Carolina standout Brandan Wright.

Ramsey has two talented teammates who are getting plenty of recruiting interest. Tay Waller, a 6-foot-2 guard from Manchester, Georgia, led the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game. He is hearing from Georgia, UAB, Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee.

Teammate Johnny Lett, a 6-foot-9, 240-pounder from Mobile, Alabama, signed with Virgina out of high school. He averaged 2.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He is hearing from the same schools as Waller.
