Eric Decker is Offensive Player of the Week

Eric Decker, a sophomore wide receiver, was named Steakhouse's Gopher Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in their 42-39 loss to Florida Atlantic.

Eric Decker finished with career highs in both receptions (12) and receiving yards (165) against Florida Atlantic. His 12 catches was tied for the second-most ever in school single-game history. Decker's 165 receiving yards also marked the second straight week that he has surpassed the 100-yard receiving threshold as he became the first Gopher to post back-to-back 100-yard receiving games since Aaron Hosack did it in 2003 against Iowa (11/15) and Oregon (12/31).

Decker is the Big Ten's leading receiver with 23 receptions and he ranks 11th in the NCAA in receiving yards per game (114.0) and 14th in the NCAA in receptions per game (7.7). Decker hauled in seven receptions for a 128 yards and two touchdowns, including a career-long 59-yard TD grab in his previos game versus Miami of Ohio.
