Brodrick Smith Postpones College Decision

Brodrick Smith, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound athlete from Garden City (KS) High, visited Minnesota for the Gophers game versus Wisconsin. The versatile Smith, who played quarterback, running and wide receiver for the Buffaloes, had planned to announce his college decision Monday, but decided to postpone his choice and will make another official visit December 14th to Illinois.

Brodrick Smith played quarterback for the Buffaloes and finished with 1,500 yards rushing and 18 rushing touchdowns with 700 yards passing, four passing scores and one interception as the team finished 4-5.

Smith is a multiple-sport standout for the Buffaloes and has a 275-pound bench press, 400-pound squat and 315-pound power clean.

Smith has helped lead the Buffaloes to a 2-1 start on the hardwood. He scored nine points in their 51-41 loss to Kearney, Neb. in the opening round of the Hays City Shootout. Smith had 20 points and 11 rebounds in their 63-53 win over Great Bend and had six points in their 45-36 win over Riley County in the fourth-place game.

Smith has a 3.1 GPA and plans to major in business or communications.
