Michael Felt Gets Minnesota Attention

Michael Felt, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound junior guard from Redwood Falls (MN) Redwood Valley, is one of the top scorers in the state of Minnesota, averaging an area-best 29.8 points, four assists and six rebounds per game. GoldenSports.Net recently cazught up with Felt to learn the latest on his recruitment.

Michael Felt scored a season-best 56 points versus Waseca and has other games with 40 or more points, including 43 points over Southwest Conference first-place team Marshall.

Redwood Valley is 12-8 and 7-4 in the Southwest Conference.

Felt led the Cardinals to a 23-4 mark last season, losing to Luverne 52-47 in the section semifinals.

Felt attended the recent Minnesota-Wisconsin game and is hearing from Minnesota, Creighton, Northern Iowa, Gonzaga, Nebraska, North Dakota State and South Dakota State.

Felt is shooting 50% from the field, 47% from three-point range and 79% from the line.

Felt, an excellent student with a 3.60 grade-point-average, also competes in football and track and field. He was the team's quarterback, leading the Cardinals to a 3-6 mark this season.

Felt runs the 800, 4 x 800 relay and 400 in track and field. He finished second in the Southwest Confernece meet in the 800 with a time of 2:06.91.

Felt is expected to play for the Dakota Schoolers AAU program this spring.
