Ralph Sampson leads Titans to Upset Win

Minnesota signee Ralph Sampson III led Northview with 15 points, ten rebounds, seven blocked shots, four assists and two steals in a 71-61 upset win over Marietta (26-4) in their second round Georgia Boys' AAAAA State Tournament game. Marietta was just elven of 24 from the line in the loss. Northview will face USA Today's No. 10-ranked Norcross (26-2) Friday.

Ralph Sampson III is averaging 19.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and seven blocked shots per game. The Titans are 21-8 this season.

Norcross is led by seniors Al-Farouq Aminu, who signed with Wake Forest and Trey Thompkins (Georgia) and junior Taariq Muhammad.

Sampson was part of a recruiting class that was considered the second in the Big Ten.
