Dylan Hale Gets Recruiting Looks

Dylan Hale, a 6-foot-1 senior guard from Minneapolis (MN) Washburn, is one of the top outside shooters in the state. Hale, who plays for the Howard Pulley AAU team, is starting to get some recruiting interest after a strong spring. Hale won the Slam Dunk contest in the Basketball Academy at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., July this past week.

Dylan Hale recently moved to Washburn after playing the past two seasons at St. Paul Central. He averaged 17.1 points per game last season as he led the Minutemen to a 21-7 mark. Hale scored in double figures in 23 of 28 games, including a 39-point effort against St. Paul Arlington. He shined down the stretch as he scored 29, 39, 22, 27 and 28 points (29.0 points per game) in the final five regular season contests.

Hale averaged 16.1 points per game as a sophomore in 12 games after getting called up from the varsity.

Washburn figures to be one of the state's top teams next season. The Millers finished 16-12, losing to eventual Class AAA state champion Benilde-St. Margaret's 74-57 in the section semifinals and return seniors Cedric Martin and Ra'Shede Hagemen.

Hale, who is hearing from Fairfield,Cornell, SMU, Western Michigan, Indiana State and North Dakota State, will play with Howard Pulley in the Peach Jam July 12-16 and the AAU 17U Super Showcase July 24-27.
