Howard Pulley Off To 2-2 Start in Peach Jam

The Howard Pulley Panthers AAU team is off to a 2-2 start after two days and will play the Meanstreet Express Monday at nine in the morning. The Panthers need a win and a loss by the second-place team in their pool to advance to the playoffs. Only the top two seeds advance. Head coach Tubby Smith and assistant Saul Smith were in Augusta watching Howard Pulley and Playground Elite's Johnny Lacy.

Royce White, who committed to Minnesota, had 17 points in their 75-73 win over Athlete's First, which finished runner-up in the Boo Williams Invitational, and 15 points in their 74-55 win versus Team Florida.

High school teammate Mike Broghammer had 22 points and seven rebounds in the win over Athlete's First. His strong play has earned him a scholarship offer from Penn State and Notre Dame.

Johnny Lacy, a 5-foot-10 point guard from Milwaukee (WI) Bayview, had 23 points and dished out six assists for the Playground Elite in their game versus BABC.
