JC signee Paul Carter Finishing Summer School

Gopher signee Paul Carter averaged 12.5 points per game and was named All-Region 16. Carter led the Grizzlies to a 27-5 mark. Unlike future teammates, Colton Iverson, Ralph Sampson and fellow junior college signee Devron Bostick, who are playing in the Howard Pulley Summer League play, Carter is attending summer school. GoldenSports.Net caught up with Carter's head coach to learn the latest.

Paul Carter, a 6-foot-8 forward from Missouri State University-West Plains CC, signed with Minnesota in the early signing period. He had to attend summer school and is doing a good job of making sure he is eligible this upcoming season, according to his JC head coach, Brian Osterman.

"Paul Carter will be done about the first of August. Everything looks great at mid terms this summer," Osterman said. "He's getting all C's or better in his classes. He should be good to go come September when he arrives at the 'U.'"
