Mike Broghammer Adds Three Scholarship Offers

Mike Broghammer, a 6-foot-8, 220 pound rising senior forward from Minnetonka (MN) Hopkins, has added three scholarship offers after a strong performance in the Nike Peach Jam, according to Howard Pulley head man Rene Pulley. Broghammer attended the Minnesota Advanced Camp last month.

Mike Broghammer, who averaged 11.9 points per game as a junior last year, recently picked up scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Penn State and Santa Clara. He had previously received offers from Iowa, North Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Western Michigan and and Wisconsin Green Bay.

Broghammer shined at the Peach Jam, leading Pulley to a 3-2 mark.

Broghammer helped lead the Royals to a 27-2 mark, losing twice to state champion Minnetonka. He scored in double figures in 16 of 29 games and had six games of 20 or more points, including a season-high 26 points versus Edina.

Broghammer visited Colorado State and attended the Gonzaga Elite camp and Minnesota Advanced Camp at the end of June.

He played in the Basketball Academy at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan. July 6-8 and will play in the AAU 17U Super Showcase in Orlando July 24-27.

Broghammer is expected to lead Hopkins to a Class AAAA state title. The Skippers have seven Division I caliber players and added transfer Royce White, who has committed to Minnesota. They also have Division I player Trent Lockett, who has committed to Arizona State, and Raymond Cowels, who has more than 10 offers.
