Tom Olson helped lead the Eagles to a 9-2 mark. They lost to then-undefeated Orono in the section playoffs. The Eagles had won four of the previous five Prep Bowl titles.
Olson, who was named to the Randy Shaver Prep Sports Extra preseason team, has attracted a scholarship from Air Force and is getting recruiting looks from several top programs.
"I've heard from Minnesota, Air Force, Iowa, Dartmouth and a couple of others," he said.
Olson is a three-sport standout, which has prevented him from attending many summer camps and college games. However, he is getting some attention from the hometown team.
"They have sent me a lot of letters. The Northwestern game was the first one that I had been to," he said.
Olson was a North Suburban All-Conference selection in baseball as a catcher as the Eagles finished 13-10. He also played basketball for the Eagles, averaging 7.2 points per game as they finished 6-20.
