Cory Joseph Continues Strong Play

Cory Joseph, a 6-foot-3 junior guard from Henderson (NV) Findlay College Prep and younger brother of Gopher frosh Devoe Joseph, continues to shine. Joseph transferred from Ontario Pickering and has helped lead Findlay to a 27-0 mark. Gopher assistant coach Saul Smith watched Joseph play last month and GoldenSports.Net recently caught up with Findlay assistant coach Todd Simon to learn the latest.

Cory Joseph led Findlay with 20 points as it defeated Stoneridge Prep 83-58 on Saturday. Joseph made 7-of-11 shots from the field and added six rebounds and five assists.

Joseph is averaging 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season for Findlay, which is ranked #2 in the country by USA Today, and #4 by ESPN Rise.

Florida, Texas A&M, UCLA, Ohio State, Memphis, Minnesota and UNLV are pursuing him the most, according to Findlay assistant coach Todd Simon.

Findlay Prep will play nationally ranked Duncanville (TX) High Saturday at Moody Coliseum, SMU's arena in Dallas.
