Miami's Johnathan Ragoo plans to visit

Monsignor Pace High School (Miami) offensive lineman Johnathan Ragoo plans to visit Minnesota. See what else he had to say about his recruitment and what else he said about the Gophers.

Johnathan Ragoo, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive lineman from Monsignor Pace High School in Miami, Fla., has received three football scholarship offers. One from the FCS school Hampton, as well as Minnesota and the University of Miami. found out the latest from Ragoo during a recent phone interview. Out of those three schools, which would you say is recruiting you hardest?

Johnathan Ragoo: I would say it would be Minnesota.

GS: What camps have you attended this summer?

Ragoo: I've been to Alabama, UM and Florida.

GS: What would you say is the best part of your game?

Ragoo: I like to run block, because I would rather go attack somebody than get attacked. But ... we (Pace High School) have a spread offense. So either way, pass or run block, I can do booth, but I'm more somebody who wants to run block.

GS: Do you play any defense?

Ragoo: I played defense for one or two games at the end of the season when my team needed me on the defensive side of the ball, but I'm more or less just an offensive player.

GS: Do you play any other sports?

Ragoo: My whole life I played basketball. I just started playing football my junior year.

GS: What are you looking for in a school?

Ragoo: For me it is the three A's: Academics, Athletics and Atmosphere.

GS: What do you think about Minnesota?

Ragoo: I haven't [been to Minnesota] as of yet, but my running back (DeAndre Johnson) has and he told me about it. He told me how much of a nice school it is and the facilities are very good and the atmosphere is cool—that it is a home away from home type of feeling.

GS: Have you talked to Coach Davis?

Ragoo: Yes I spoke to him. Actually when my running back was up there he called me on the phone and we had a good talk, and he was excited for me to come up when I can and I plan on coming up when I can.
