Gage Shaeffer has rushed 130 times for 722 (5.6 yards per carry) through the first nine games and has had three 100-yard rushing yard efforts this season.

Shaeffer attended football camps this summer at Northern Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota and Northern Iowa and said that he is hearing from Minnesota, Army and Iowa State the most. He is also getting Division II and NCAA D-1AA looks from St. Cloud State, Minnesota Duluth and South Dakota State.
