Eastview SO Joey King Gets Minnesota Interest

Joey King, a 6-foot-7 1/2, 205-pound sophomore forward from Apple Valley (MN) Eastview, is considered one of the top players in the state's Class of 2012. King attended the Gophers' game versus Stephen F. Austin. GoldenSports.Net caught up with King to learn the latest on his recruitment.

Joey King transferred from Eagan to Eastview and will have to play JV basketball until February 2nd, due to the Minnesota transfer rules. King played for the Minnesota Southside AAU program, which had a strong spring and summer. They finished 26-10 overall and won the 2009 Minnesota 15U AAU State Championship and the North Dakota Hoopsfest. They also participated in the 15U AAU National Tournament in Clarksville, TN.

King told GoldenSportsa.Net that he is hearing from Minnesota, Indiana, Colorado State, South Dakota State and Northern Iowa. He attended the Gopher-Stephen F. Austin game with his mother and younger brother.

King played for the Eastview B squad football team as a wide receiver.
