Friday's High School Basketball Top Stars

The Minnesota high school basketball season continued Friday as several teams saw their first action. The following is a look at some of the top performers from Friday's games.

Junior Nick Latzke scored 26 to lead Minnetonka to a 72-65 win over Champlin Park.

Duluth East defeated White Bear Lake 93-73 as Dyami Starks, who is headed to Columbia, scoring 42 points. Sophomore Johnny Woodard had 26 in the victory.

Eric Robertson of Wayzata had 21 points in an 61-57 loss to Park Center.

Junior Joe Coleman scored 16 points in Hopkins' 68-40 win over Maple Grove.

Chaska, which is ranked #6 in Class AAAA, was led by junior forward Jake White, who had 28 points in a 87-69 win over Burnsville. White recently picked up an offer from Wichita State. Junior guard Max Watts added 17 points. Jack Ghizoni of Burnsville had 27 in a losing effort.

Andy Siedlitz of Robbinsale Armstrong scored 27 points in a 63-55 loss to crosstown rival Robbinsdale Cooper.

Eden Prairie edged Lakeville South 60-58 as Brett Ervin scored a game-high 23 points. Junior Alex Ritcher scored 18 for the Cougars.

Junior Toriano Tatum scored 20 points as Rosemount defeated Bloomington Jefferson 70-69 on the road. Zach Vraa, who was recently named Minnesota's Mr. Football, scored 17 for the Irish. Junior guard Marcus Alipate scored a game-high 26, including five three-pointers in the loss.
