Cory Joseph Scores 23 in ESPNU Win

Minnesota Gopher recruit Cory Joseph, younger brother of Devoe, lead Findlay to a 71-70 ESPNU-televised win over #1 ranked Elizabeth (NJ) St. Patrick at the Hoophall Classic. Joseph scored 23 points as he made eight of 15 shots from the field and six of eight from the line. Joseph added nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks, despite battling apparent leg cramps in the second half.

Cory Joseph is averaging 17.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.6 steals per game this season. He visited Minnesota October 30th, Connecticut October 16th, Texas September 19th, Villanova October 23rd and UNLV in late December.

Joseph led Findlay to a 33-0 mark as a junior as they defeated #2 Mouth of Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy 74-66 in the championship of National High School Invitational. Joseph averaged 10.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game, while shooting 50.5% from the field, 55.8% from three-point range and 61.3% from the line.

Joseph has become the program's all-time leader in scoring, assists, steals, three pointers and three-point percentage. He is second in all-time rebounds and has guided the team to 55-1 as Findlay's point guard.
