Marquel Curtis Gets Recruiting Attention

Marquel Curtis, a 6-foot-2 junior shooting guard from Robbinsdale (MN) Armstrong, is one of the state's top players in the class of 2011. Curtis is averaging 21.4 points per game and has scored in double figures in 17 of 18 games. He went over 1,000 points in his career as he scored 30 points in a 97-86 win over Minnetonka. Curtis has started to attract interest from several Division I schools.

Marquel Curtis has led Robbinsdale Armstrong to a 9-9 mark. He scored a career-best 40 points in an upset 70-64 win over crosstown rival and previously undefeated Robbinsdale Cooper. He scored 36 points in a 79-77 loss to Benidle St. Margaret and 30 Wednesday night.

Curtis has received a scholarship offer from South Dakota and gotten recruiting interest from schools such as Army, Colorado State, Wisconsin Milwaukee and Wichita State.
