Roosevelt Scott Gains Recruiting Looks

Roosevelt Scott, a 6-foot-3 junior guard from Class AAA #1 ranked St. Paul Johnson, has started to attract recruiting interest, despite coming off the bench for the deep and talented Governors. Scott is averaging 10.5 points per game, second best on the team. GoldenSports.Net recently caught up with Scott to learn the latest on his recruitment.

Roosevelt Scott has helped lead the governors to a 17-0 start this season. They defeated defending Class AAAA champion Hopkins 86-78 in the Best Buy Holiday Classic, their only game the Governors have won by less than 13 points. Scott shined in the tournament, making the All-Tournament team as he averaged 14 points in the three games.

Scott has scored in double figures in ten of the last twelve games, including season-high 20 points in a 94-50 win over St. Paul Humboldt.

Scott recently told GoldenSports.Net that he is starting to hear from some colleges.

Iowa State, Wisconsin, Northern Iowa and North Dakota State."

Scott, who says that his strength is his scoring ability, is working hard to improve himself as a player.

"My defense. Rebounding. Getting assists."

Scott, who played for the 43 Hoops 16-and-under AAU team this past spring and summer, has had a chance to check out just a few college games, due to his busy schedule.

"I've been to North Dakota and UMKC. That's about it."
