Ron Patterson To Get Minnesota Visit

Ron Patterson, a 6-foot-3 sophomore, was named the Iowa Barnstormers Spring Fling MVP after leading the Indiana Elite to a 63-49 win over the Milwaukee Spartans in the title game as he scored 13 points. Patterson has already scholarship offers from Cincinnati, DePaul, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio State, Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee and Xavier and will receive a visit from the Gophers tomorrow.

Ron Patterson helped lead Indianapolis (IN) Broad Ripple to a 16-7 mark, the most wins for the school since the 1985-1986 season, and a city championship. Unfortunately, they lost to Warren Central in the first round of the playoffs as Patterson was slowed by a back injury. He averaged 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game. Patterson averaged 15.8 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as a freshman.

Patterson, along with Lawrence Central's Jeremy Hollowell and Avon's Austin Burgett, helped pace the Spiece Indy Stars to the 15-under title in the the Hoosier Shootout and Kentucky HoopFest last July.
