The basketball schedule is has a couple areas of interest for Gopher fans. One of the first things that one might notice is that there is only one game against Bo Ryan and the Wisconsin Badgers.
The game will be played on December, 28th at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Last season brought only one matchup with the Badgers in which the Gophers dominated at home, winning by a score of 68-52. This season will be much tougher as the Gophers have to play the Badgers in Madison.
In 2009-2010, Wisconsin was near impossible to beat, posting a record of 16 wins with only one loss at home. The Gophers are going to have to play their best to escape Madison with a win.
Another area of note for the Big Ten schedule is that it will be much more spread out this year than it was last season. Last year, the Gophers played Michigan State twice in ten days and played Ohio State two times in the month of January.
This seasons Big Ten schedule spreads out the series between both these teams. Having more time between games against the same opponent will give the Gophers more time to prepare and improve for some of the toughest teams in the country.
