Basketball Stars of the Future

I recently attended the Crossroads of the South Exposure Camp, a camp organized and operated by Marc Rowe, who helps coach the Mississippi AAU basketball program MBA Hoops. Most of the top underclassmen in the state of Mississippi attended the camp. This is the first part of a multi-part series of interviews I did with many of the Mississippi underclassmen who attended the camp.

Randall Lowe - Class of 2013 - C - 6-8, 228 - Hattiesburg High School

What are your strengths and what are some things you still need to work on?
"My weaknesses are my aggressiveness and being in shape. I'm working on that right now."

I know you are just a sophomore and it's still early in the recruiting process but are you hearing anything about what schools are looking at you?
"No sir but scouts talk (to my coach) about me after some of my games."

How does playing AAU basketball help your game?
"It helps me get more aggressive and I get to play against bigger and older people."

Brandon Daniels - Class of 2013 - WF - 6-4, 180 - Lawrence County High School - AAU MBA Hoops

What are your strengths and some things you still need to work on?
"I am good at shooting, getting to the basket and finding a weakness in a player. My weaknesses are my dribbling and getting stronger."

How long have you been playing with the MBA Hoops AAU program?
"I have been playing with them since I was in the 5th grade."

How has playing AAU ball helped your overall game?
"I get better because I get to play better players than me."

Nigel Bradley - Class of 2013 - SG - 6-0, 195 - Forest Hill High School - AAU MBA Hoops

What are your strengths and some things you still need to work on?
"I am a shooter. I can drive, too. If somebody makes me put it on the floor, I can take it to the hole strong and finish it. I have to work on my dribbling a little bit more, but it's coming on."

How does playing AAU ball help your overall game?
"It gives me more exposure and gives me more competition which helps me play better."

Fred Thomas - Class of 2012 - SG - 6-5 - Jim Hill High School - AAU Southern Phenoms

What are your strengths and some things you still need to work on?
"My weakness is I can't dribble that good and I still need to work on my rebounding. My strengths are I can shoot very good and I like to get to the basket."

How does playing AAU ball help your game?
"I get to play against better competition which allows me to become the best player that I can be."

What schools are showing interest in you?
"Mississippi State, Alabama, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Georgia ... that's all I know of right now."

What schools are you the most interested in?
"Alabama. I just like that school and have been wanting to go there."
