"Quentin Saulsberry was my host," said Malone. "He was a great guy. He told me what to expect and that I need to have the right the mindset about coming in there.
"He said you have to work hard, but if you come in believing it's going to be hard then it's going to be hard.
"He said to be ready to work, but come in like you know you can handle it."
In addition to picking the brain of a current Bulldog lineman, Justin had the chance to chat with future position coach, John Hevesy.
"Coach Hevesy and I spent a lot of time together," said Malone. "He's a great guy and he's real intense. He pushes to be the best in everything."
Justin and is parents made the drive up to Starkville and the trio appears to have enjoyed their time on campus.
"My mom and my dad went with me," said Malone. "We already had all of our questions answered, so we just got to enjoy the visit and see everything.
"The best thing about the tour was the workout demonstration. They showed us exactly what they do and how you always have all of your teammates around you to encourage you."
Justin and his family were sold on joining the Bulldog program long ago, but this weekend's official visit only made that decision more comfortable.
"I am 100% sure Mississippi State is where I am supposed to be," said Malone. "I just feel at home when I am up there and this weekend was great."
