Mississippi State baseball played a six-inning scrimmage Friday afternoon. Included are partial stats and notes. The next scrimmage is Saturday beginning at noon.

Senior Ryan Collins had a single.
Senior Jonathan Ogden walked once.
Freshman Demarcus Henderson walked once.
Freshman Cody Abraham walked once.
Freshman Taylor Stark had a triple and 2 RBI.
Junior RHP Devin Jones threw 4 innings, allowing 1 (unearned) run on 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3.
Sophomore RHP Chris Stratton threw 4 innings, allowing 0 runs on 3 hits and 0 walks while striking out 6.
Freshman RHP Daryl Norris threw 1 inning, allowing no runs on 0 hits or walks while striking out 2.
Senior LHP Trey Johnson threw 1 inning, allowing 2 runs (both earned) on 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 1.

Notes From The Park:
The temperature during the scrimmage was 38 degrees.
After throwing 96-97 consistently in his last outing, true freshman RHP Hunter Renfroe threw 93-94 consistently, topping out at 95, in Friday's outing. He threw 9 pitches, the same in the last outing, and threw 6 for strikes, the same in the last outing. No one has gotten a hit of him or walked in his two innings of work.
Senior shortstop Jonathan Ogden continues to impress in the field, making two outstanding plays in the field in the bottom of the sixth.
Chris Stratton has now thrown 7 innings in his two outings, giving up 0 runs.
