He told me that he "will definitely attend MSU's camp" and "would like to attend camps at LSU and Tennessee." He also said he, "may attend a team camp at Ole Miss." He has been invited to the May 18th Nike Camp. When asked what teams he likes at the present time, he listed "Mississippi State number one" with LSU also high on his list. He also lists West Virginia, Tennessee and Ole Miss as teams he has medium interest in. He is a solid student in school and plans on taking the ACT this June.
Nathan Barkley is not widely known in recruiting circles but has really drawn quite a bit of interest from college coaches as evidenced by the fact that he has received enough letters that he has, as Nathan said, "a stack that goes from the floor to the ceiling." Included among those colleges are "Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, South Carolina, Michigan State, Rice, Nebraska, Dartmouth" and quite a few others. Nathan also told me that he has earned numerous honors, including, "All-Division, All-County, first-team All-State (MAC) and the Daily Journal All-Metro," his 11th grade season.
The Falkner High School offensive tackle/defensive tackler weighs in at 275 pounds on his 6-4 frame. Running a 5.3 forty, Nathan benches 370 pounds and squats 550 with a 21 vertical leap. An excellent student who has a GPA in the high 3's, Nathan also has an ACT score that is in the mid-20's. Although he didn't camp at any colleges last season, he hopes to attend camps at, "Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn and Florida," this summer. He has been invited to the May 18th Nike Camp. The schools currently high on his list include "Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida" with three schools, "Nebraska, Michigan State and South Carolina," in the medium category.
Gabe Fairman, from Petal High School in Petal, Mississippi State, is a 6-0, 210-pound running back who runs a 4.55 forty. Currently planning, "on attending a camp at the University of Tennessee," Gabriel has also been selected to attend the May 18th Nike Camp. He also is attempting to set up other camps but is not sure which ones at this time. His interest in schools currently stands as follows.
Lekeithric Jackson is a mammoth of a man who stands 6-4 and weighs 335 pounds. Hailing from Hernando High School in Hernando, Mississippi, the 6-4, 335-pounder has not decided which camps he is going to attend this summer. He has been invited to the May 18th Nike Camp. He told me the schools he is interested in include:
David Traxler, who plays for Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi, is a 6-6, 262-pound offensive lineman who runs a 5.3 forty. An excellent student who has a GPA close to 4.0, David told me that, "I'm going to the Nike camp (in Auburn) on May 18 and I am going to the Ole Miss senior camp." He also said he plans on attending other camps but hasn't decided which ones. He has also been invited to the May 18th Nike Camp. Here is his list of schools and his interest in them.
Other recruiting new.....
Look for Oak Grove High School's outstanding linebacker Garry Pack (6-1, 210) to hear from LSU, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among others, this spring evaluation period. Garry is considered to be one of the top players in the state of Mississippi.
5-9, 175-pound running back Kevin Johnson, who plays for Washington School in Greenville, Missisisppi, is hearing from Auburn Ole Miss and Colorado. It seems that Ole Miss is starting to show a lot of interest. I understand they had someone at the track meet this past Wednesday.
